Bear Grylls OBE

Fraser’s nickname was Bear, (after the House of Fraser Bear), and out of our respect for the ability, positivity and determination of adventurer Bear Grylls.

Following the passing of Stuey and Fraser, Bear Grylls wrote to Anna-Louise expressing that…

“The gift of life he has now given to others through the donation of his organs is so inspiring, and the legacy is truly selfless”.

Fraser was a proud Beaver Scout and Bear Grylls was Chief Scout at the time of the letter with Fraser now remembered through his Scout Group’s ‘Fraser Hall’ in Llanishen.

In November 2016, Believe presented him with his own special Believe bear whilst discussing the lasting impact of Fraser’s legacy. When Bear returned to Cardiff in April 2024, Fraser’s sister Elizabeth and Anna-Louise went to see him and fortunately managed to get his handprint which he has very aptly signed with another inspirational quote –  “Never Give Up”.

We hope that this Garden also reflects the positiveness of Organ Donation and that whatever our “Journey” that together if we do believe we can make a difference.
