Memorial Garden
The Believe Memorial Garden was officially opened by Julie Morgan MS on Monday 1st December 2025.
The aim of the garden is to reflect all areas of organ donation, be a wellbeing space for families and a time to reflect upon the ‘FAB Gift of Life’.
As a result of Believe being the 2021/22 Charity of the Year for Cardiff Bereavement Services, Cardiff Council donated a large area of land to the charity at the new crematorium in Thornhill, Cardiff, where the Garden is now situated.
The Believe Garden includes a heart, visible from above and Google Earth, as well as educational tools along the way from celebrity handprints you can match up with, butterfly sanctuaries in organ mounds, and a place for donors to be honoured and remembered by their loved ones.
The garden incorporates our Welsh heritage, with Wales being the first home country to adopt the opt out organ donation system in 2015, including the setting of our award-winning animation, Castell Coch.
Further down the page you will find out the number of ways you can continue to help us achieve our aims and see more pictures from the official garden opening.
