Aaron Ramsey

Our next handprint was from the footballer that put the A into our FAB Fraser’s name.

As loyal Cardiff City Fans – Anna-Louise and Stuey had agreed to name their child after whoever scored the winning goal in the 2008 FA Cup Final. Unfortunately, Cardiff City didn’t score that day but Aaron Ramsey was their favourite player and so it was agreed that this would be Fraser’s middle name.

Last year on our ambassador Paul’s 85th birthday, Paul a lifelong Cardiff City fan, visited Aaron at Cardiff City’s training base where Aaron donated his handprint for our Garden.

Anna-Louise explained to Aaron about the importance of the garden whilst taking the handprint in Bluebirds Blue.

The taking of the handprint featured in the Cardiff City Programme and the website as part of the club’s 125th year celebrations to honour the remarkable people and organisations that make Cardiff City more than a football club.

Cardiff City FC have been a real partner to both Anna-Louise’s family and the charity, and we have enjoyed 3 Charity balls, a comedy curry night and hosted our finalist for the Voice of our Bear Animation, with avid supporter and producer, Mike Young, video calling from the US. We have even had our animation beamed onto the side of the Cardiff City Stadium.

We look forward to carrying on our connection with Cardiff City, with involvement from the Veterans to the Academy and to mark the 10th anniversary of the charity – our Celebratory Ball. Mark your calendars for the event of 2026 being held on 20th June!
